Avengers Hints Disclosed by Kevin Feige, Carrying an Underlying Suggestion of Excitement

The X-Men, Marvel's iconic mutant superhero team, are set to make a grand return to the big screen, as confirmed by Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios. This exciting news marks the beginning of a new era for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

In the upcoming phases, several X-Men characters will grace the Marvel films before the conclusion of Secret Wars. The lineup includes Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, and Kelsey Grammer as Beast. These characters will appear notably in "Avengers: Doomsday," scheduled for release on May 20, 2026, and "Avengers: Secret Wars," slated for May 2027.

The integration of the X-Men into Marvel's universe will be a significant part of the new age after the conclusion of the Secret Wars. Marvel Studios is planning a "Mutant era" and a 10-year plan for the X-Men in the MCU.

The X-Men's return will be preceded by "Captain America: Brave New World," scheduled for a February release, and "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," set for release on July 25, 2025.

The confirmation from Feige adds authoritative weight to the plans for the X-Men and the upcoming phases. The Infinity Saga, the Multiverse Saga, and the Mutant Saga are the planned phases for Marvel's cinematic universe.
