Autumn's approach foretells a scorching temperature, according to the meteorologist's prediction.
Moscow residents can look forward to a warm but cloudy weekend, according to weather forecasts. On Sunday, the city is expected to see sunshine, with daytime highs between +19 and +22 degrees Celsius, as predicted by both Alexander Ilyin of the 'Meteo' forecasting centre and Yevgeny Tishkovets of the weather centre 'Fobos'.
Night temperatures will be slightly cooler, with temperatures between +10 and +13 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, night owls might want to make the most of the warm weather, as Monday will mark the last summer heat wave of the year, according to Tishkovets.
On Monday, temperatures in Moscow will reach between +24 and +27 degrees Celsius. Areas in southeastern Moscow could even see temperatures as high as +27 degrees Celsius, as per Ilyin's predictions. The weather on Monday is expected to be relatively sunny and dry, making it an ideal day for outdoor activities.
However, the warm weather will not last long. A sudden cold snap is expected to begin in Moscow on Tuesday, as Tishkovets warns of a rapid polar invasion. By Wednesday, daytime temperatures in Moscow will be around +13 degrees Celsius.
Mikhail Leus, a specialist at the 'Fobos' weather centre, has been sharing regular updates about the Moscow weather on his Telegram channel. It seems that autumn will begin its general offensive on all fronts, with Tishkovets expecting autumn to arrive earlier than usual.
Alexander Ilyin of the 'Meteo' forecasting centre also notes a decrease in temperature on Tuesday. As the leaves begin to change colour and the days grow shorter, Moscow residents will have to prepare for the arrival of autumn.
