Autumnal Melodies Concert Sequence
The Autumn Sounds series is set to return to Krupp Hall at Sayner Hut, promising an enchanting lineup of three concerts this season.
Kicking off the series on November 3rd is "La Triviata", an ensemble for music theater improvisation from Munich. The theme of the evening is "Let yourself be swept away!", and each performance promises to be unique, offering a world premiere, debut, and special performance. Laughter is guaranteed, as the concert promises high drama, bizarre, absurd, and hilariously funny moments.
On November 10th, the spotlight shifts to "Love Life - L'amour toujours", a recital featuring Katharina Ruckgaber (soprano) and Sholto Kynoch (piano). Katharina Ruckgaber, a versatile talent among young lyric sopranos, made her debut on the Seebühne of the Bregenz Festival in 2024 in the premiere cast of "Freischütz". She was also nominated for "Newcomer of the Year" in the 2019 critic's poll of the magazine "Opernwelt".
The Qantara Trio concert is scheduled for November 17th. This unique ensemble consists of voice, oud, and harp, and performs a harmonious fusion of Arabic, Sephardic, and European melodies. The trio was founded in 2019 and features Jessica Poppe (mezzo-soprano), Hesham Hamra (oud), and Samira Memarzadeh (harp). Admission to the Qantara Trio concert is generally free, but visitors can choose to pay 10 euros for a reserved seat in the front rows or 20 euros for a reserved seat, a free drink during the break, and to financially support the series.
Registration for the Qantara Trio concert can be found at https://www.saynerhuette.org/events/. For the most accurate and current details, checking directly with Commonwealth University’s Music, Theatre and Dance Office or their official event calendar would be recommended.
As Krupp Hall is associated with Commonwealth University’s Music, Theatre, and Dance Department, which hosts various performances, but their publicly available 2025 schedule does not mention an Autumn Sounds series or Krupp Hall events specifically, it is recommended to contact the university directly for the most up-to-date information.
