As the investigation continues, here's what we know so far about the unfortunate incident at the Allianz Arena during the Nations League final between Portugal and Spain.

Update on the Victim

On June 10, 3:04 PM, police released further details about the tragic accident. Although the incident is considered an accident, witnesses and video evidence suggest that the victim was heavily intoxicated prior to the fall. A complete autopsy is yet to be conducted for further findings.

Revelation of the Victim's Identity

According to Bild, the deceased fan was a 34-year-old Romanian residing in the district of Garmisch. He fell approximately eight meters from the middle tier onto the press tribune.

The Bavarian Red Cross spokesperson Sohrab Taheri-Sohi reported that the fan was in need of immediate resuscitation after the fall and was revived for over an hour by the rescuers. Witnesses and media personnel also received psychological support following the tragic event. Taheri-Sohi stated, "There hasn't been a drama like this in the Allianz Arena in the past 20 years."

Accident Investigation Ongoing

Police are treating the accident as part of their standard procedure in such cases. Witnesses are being questioned, videos are being reviewed, and there is currently no evidence suggesting foul play. However, the investigations continue.

European Football's Grief

The man involved in the accident at the Allianz Arena has passed away. He was from the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. UEFA, as well as team officials, have expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased. Spain's national coach, Luis de la Fuente, offered condolences during the post-match press conference, stating, "Before we begin with the questions, I'd like to express my condolences because a fan has died on the stands today. My condolences to the family."
