The First Hundred Days of Burgenland's Red-Green Government

However, in 2000, the Greens made their debut in the state parliament, never holding more than two seats for the last 25 years.

Fast forward to 2010, and the Greens' presence in the assembly seemed tenuous. With bleak voting odds, they surprised everyone by scoring a seat on the government bench. SPÖ Governor, Hans Peter Doskozil, chose them over the blues and turquoises.

Despite the long-standing conflict over the location of the planned hospital in a Natura-2000 area in Gols, Haider-Wallner seems open to compromise, introducing a design committee to "accompany" the new clinic's construction.
