Authorities have issued arrest warrants for three individuals associated with a right-wing extremist terrorist group.
In a chilling turn of events, a right-wing extremist terrorist organization named "Letzte Verteidigungswelle (L.V.W)" has been accused of several criminal offenses, including incendiary and explosives attacks targeting asylum seekers' facilities and premises of left-wing political parties.
The organization, believed to have been established no later than mid-April 2024, came to light when Claudio S., Devin K., and Justin W. were arrested in early January 2025. The trio had planned an incendiary attack on an inhabited asylum seekers' facility in Senftenberg, using battery fireworks-style pyrotechnics. However, the crime did not occur due to the arrest of Claudio S. and Devin K.
The suspects, who have been in pre-trial detention since mid-February 2025, are also believed to have conspired to commit an act of murder. Devin K. is accused of procuring two ball bombs in the Czech Republic for the planned attack.
In addition to these charges, Claudio S. and Justin W. are additionally suspected of attempted murder, attempted particularly severe arson, criminal damage, and the use of anti-constitutional symbols. During the crime, they were found to have sprayed messages on the exterior of the facility, including "L.V.W", "Foreigners, get out", "Germany is for Germans", and "National Socialist Territory". They also drew swastikas and SS runes on the wall and saluted with the so-called "Hitler salute".
The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe has secured arrest warrants for Devin K., Claudio S., and Justin W., replacing those of the local courts in Dresden and Gera. Devin K. was brought before the Investigating Judge at the Federal Court of Justice on 26 May 2025, followed by Claudio S. and Justin W. on 27 May 2025.
The organization's members regard themselves as a last resort to defend the "German Nation". They aim to collapse the democratic form of government in the Federal Republic of Germany by committing acts of violence, primarily against migrants and political opponents.

The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office has assumed jurisdiction over the proceedings (see Press Release No. 29 of 21 May 2025). Devin K. is also accused of preparing an offence with explosives and committing a violation of the Explosives Act.
The case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing threat of extremism and the importance of upholding democratic values in the face of adversity.
