"Authorities at the World Cricket League Issue Clarification Regarding Viral Video Showcasing Shahid Afridi With India's Champions Team"

The World Championship of Legends (WCL) has issued a statement to address misinformation circulating on social media regarding an incident involving the India Champions and Pakistan Champions teams.

The anticipated match-up between the two teams did not take place during this year's WCL tournament due to geopolitical tensions between the two nations. Contrary to a viral clip that has been making the rounds, the video in question is not an accurate representation of events that occurred during the WCL.

The video, which features Pakistan Champions player Shahid Afridi watching as the India Champions team exits the stadium, was filmed during the India Champions vs West Indies Champions match. The incident in the video did not occur during the WCL.

The WCL has taken a clear and categorical stance to clarify misinformation about the incident. In a statement, the WCL confirmed that the viral video showing such an incident is taken out of context.

The India Champions team did not walk off the ground upon seeing Shahid Afridi or any other player from the Pakistan Champions team during the WCL tournament. In fact, the India Champions entered the field while the Pakistan Champions team was walking off after their match against the Australia Champions. No on-field interaction between the players of the two teams occurred during this year's WCL tournament.

The WCL management later issued clarifications regarding the incident, underscoring the sensitive nature of the withdrawal and the circumstances behind it. The India Champions, led by Yuvraj Singh, withdrew from the semi-final citing political tensions following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The team chose to exit the tournament rather than face the Pakistan Champions.

As a result, the Pakistan Champions automatically advanced to the final. The tournament organizers respected the India Champions' decision to withdraw and acknowledged Pakistan Champions' readiness to compete, officially calling off the match.

WCL urges fans and media outlets to refrain from spreading misinformation and to seek accurate information from official sources. The organization continues to work towards promoting fair play and maintaining the integrity of the game.
