Austria warns drivers of deadly 'flying ice sheets' this winter

The ÖAMTC issued a public warning on Tuesday regarding "flying ice sheets."

In a statement, the Austrian automobile club reported that "dangerous ice sheets have formed on cars, trucks, and trailers." The alert noted: "Now that temperatures are rising slightly, there is a risk that these ice sheets could detach while driving, posing a serious hazard to other road users." The organization also emphasized that "vehicles must be completely cleared of snow and ice before setting off."
