Australian rugby player Nic White announces his retirement
Nic White Makes a Return to the Wallabies
Nic White, a seasoned scrum-half with 77 selections in his career, has been recalled to aid the Wallabies during the Rugby Championship. The 35-year-old Australian player's return comes at a crucial time as several injuries have left gaps at his position.
White's rugby journey began with the Brumbies in the 2010s and continued into the 2020s. After a successful stint with the team, he moved to Montpellier in France, playing for them between 2015 and 2017. Following his tenure with Montpellier, White played for Exeter from 2017 to 2020.
In 2022, White returned to Australia, joining the Western Force. He concluded his playing career with the team last season.
White's return to the Wallabies was marked by his performance in the matches against South Africa and Argentina, where he started in both encounters. However, he will not be part of the squad for the upcoming matches against New Zealand on September 27 and October 4.
Jake Gordon, who has returned from injury, will take White's place in the squad. The new scrum-half for the Wallabies, replacing the injured Jake Gordon, is yet to be announced.
In a surprising turn of events, White announced the end of his career on his Instagram account following the tests against the British and Irish Lions in early August. Despite this, he has been recalled to the Wallabies team, highlighting the significance of his experience and skills in the sport.
White's career in club rugby spans multiple teams, including the Brumbies, Montpellier, Exeter, and Western Force. His versatility and adaptability have been key to his success in the sport, making him a valuable asset to any team he plays for.
