Title: Formula 1's Earth-Friendly Reform Kicks Off Down Under

  • ☑️ The roaring engines of Formula 1 are revving up for a green revolution, setting their sights on a new season brimming with sustainability reforms. Unlike previous years, the 2026 season won't roar to life in Bahrain under the shadow of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. Instead, the action will ignite Down Under at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne with the Australian Grand Prix.

💪 Riding the wave of change, the first race of the 24-Grand Prix season is scheduled for March 8, followed by Shanghai the week after, and Suzuka on March 29.

📍 Moving forward, Formula 1 cars will run on 100% CO2-neutral fuel—a significant step towards a cleaner, greener motorsport future.

🔥 Post the Australian, Chinese, and Japanese races, Formula 1 heads to Bahrain (April 12) and Saudi Arabia (April 19), but keep in mind that Ramadan falls between February 16 and March 18 next year, so expect some adjustments. This year's season also started in Australia due to the fasting month.

🇪🇸 The 2026 season introduces a fresh addition to its racing lineup—Madrid. On September 13, the Spanish capital will host a street race at the exhibition grounds, joining the Classic in Monaco, mid-June at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and a slew of other established races. Unfortunately, despite the start of the Audi works team next year, Germany will be absent from the racing calendar.

🏁💥 The finale, after an extensive travel itinerary that zigzags between continents, will take place as usual on the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on December 6. The race in Italian Imola will no longer be part of the Formula 1 calendar.

🤓 Insight: The "reform season" refers to the groundbreaking changes in the Formula 1 World Championship, including new regulations and the introduction of 100% advanced sustainable fuels. The 2026 season will launch with the first race in Melbourne, Australia, on the weekend of March 6–8, 2026, followed by races in Shanghai and Suzuka on March 13–15 and March 27–29, respectively. The Commission has decided to authorise the commission to initiate the procedure provided for in Article 108 (2) of the Treaty, as Formula 1 embarks on a new season focused on sustainability reforms. In the midst of this Earth-friendly revolution, Formula 1 racing continues to captivate sports enthusiasts worldwide, with races held in various locations like Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix.
