Auktion & Markt AG strengthens leadership with new executive board appointment
Auktion & Markt AG, a leading European used vehicle marketer, has appointed Sebastian Kiefer to its executive board. The mid-sized company, based in Wiesbaden, specialises in vehicle auctions and operates 17 locations across Germany. Kiefer will now join CEO Peter Lindner and board member Mark Lehmann in leading the firm.
Auktion & Markt AG has over 35 years of experience in the auction industry. Each year, it handles around 150,000 vehicles, ranging from passenger cars and commercial vans to motorcycles and accident-damaged units. The company’s consignors include automakers, dealerships, banks, leasing firms, rental companies, and fleet operators.
In addition to physical auctions, the business runs Autobid.de, a B2B online marketplace. With roughly 450 employees nationwide, it remains one of Europe’s top players in used vehicle sales. Kiefer was selected for his professional expertise, strong track record, and interpersonal skills. His new role will focus primarily on overseeing the finance division.
The appointment expands the executive board to three members. Kiefer’s financial leadership is expected to support the company’s continued growth in vehicle auctions and digital sales. Auktion & Markt AG maintains its position as a key player in Europe’s used vehicle market.
