Atyrau Rescuers Celebrate 30th Anniversary, Honour Hero Beibarys Rakhim
Atyrau region's Department of Emergency Situations celebrated its 30th anniversary and the Day of the Rescuer with a solemn event. The occasion was attended by the region's Akim, Serik Shapkenov, veterans, and employees. The event honoured those who have served bravely, including the memory of hero Beibarys Rakhim.
The regional department boasts 17 fire stations, over 900 employees, and more than 250 units of equipment. The Akim, Serik Shapkenov, praised the rescuers, stating they stand alongside doctors in protecting lives. He congratulated them on their anniversary and professional holiday.
The event was marked by awards and promotions for outstanding employees. Notably, a minute of silence was held to remember Beibarys Rakhim, who lost his life heroically during flood relief in Kulsary in 2024. His name has become a symbol of courage and dedication in the profession.
