Attorney's Announcement:

In the opening game of the 2025/26 Landliga season, FC Lennestadt faced a challenging encounter against local rivals SV 04 Attendorn. Despite a valiant effort, the former Westphalia League club fell 1:0, with Vedat Vural scoring the decisive goal in the 49th minute.

The game began evenly, with both teams showcasing their skills. Christian Schmidt had the best chance for Lennestadt, but he failed to convert, while Marius Habel came close for Attendorn but was denied by a clearance. The first half ended in a 0:0 stalemate, setting the stage for an exciting second half.

The second half saw FC Lennestadt step up their game, with Mika Ahlemeyer, Nico Troester, and Lukas Voelmicke all sidelined due to injuries. Despite their youthful exuberance, Lennestadt couldn't find the back of the net, with Felix Pospischil, Attendorn's goalkeeper, making a crucial save in the 27th minute.

Ralf Behle, Lennestadt's coach, was dissatisfied with the result but defended his young team, stating that they need more time to perform at their best. Behle also emphasized that this would be a tough season for Lennestadt due to their young team.

Florian Friedrichs, a long-time top scorer for Lennestadt who is no longer with the team, watched the game from the sidelines. Behle believes a draw would have been fair, considering the entire 90 minutes of play.

Meanwhile, Jasko Selimanjin, the coach of SV 04 Attendorn, was pleased with the result and the performance of his team. He expressed satisfaction with their ability to hold off Lennestadt's late pressure and secure the victory.

As the season progresses, FC Lennestadt is facing some challenges in their personnel situation. The team has been dealing with several injuries to key players during the preseason, which has temporarily limited their available squad depth. The departure of Florian Friedrichs, an important player for Lennestadt, also removes a significant component from their roster, potentially impacting team dynamics and on-field performance.

The club is actively working to cope with these setbacks by relying on remaining squad members, promoting youth players, and possibly recruiting new talent before the transfer window closes. However, the combination of injuries and Friedrichs’ exit suggests that Lennestadt may experience a period of adjustment early in the season. The team's management and coaching staff will need to manage these challenges carefully to maintain competitiveness in the Landliga.

FC Lennestadt's new signing Alim Bilim Belge entered the game in the 75th minute but could not turn the match around. The result leaves Lennestadt at the bottom of the Landliga table, but with a full season ahead, there is still time for them to turn their fortunes around.
