Attempted Recording Incident on Rotenburg Highway
The Rotenburg Fire Department is preparing for an exciting world record attempt this Sunday, 21st September, at the Highwalk in Rotenburg, Germany. The team is aiming to break the current record held by the Willingen Fire Department.
The Highwalk, the second-longest suspension bridge in Germany, measures an impressive 617 meters long and stands up to 60 meters high. This challenging terrain will make for a tough run, especially when conducted while wearing full firefighting gear, which weighs approximately 25kg per firefighter.
The 10km relay run involves each firefighter running a distance of 2km. The team in Rotenburg has undergone extensive training to prepare for this grueling challenge.
Captain Carsten Zabel, from the Rotenburg Fire Department, is leading the charge. Zabel aims to complete the run in under an hour, a feat that would break the previous record set in Willingen, where a team completed the 10km relay on the Skywalk in just over an hour.
The steep incline at the end of the bridge presents a significant challenge for the runners. However, the team is confident and ready to take on this challenge.
The world record attempt will begin on Sunday at 14:30. Spectators are welcome to come and cheer on the Rotenburg Fire Department as they strive to break the world record.
This event is organized by Carsten Zabel of the Rotenburg Fire Department, who is excited about the challenge ahead. The Highwalk run promises to be an exhilarating spectacle, showcasing the strength, endurance, and teamwork of the Rotenburg Fire Department.
