TSG Hawks' Bradin Hagens Extends Record-Breaking Win Streak to 22 Games

In a thrilling game played at their home stand in Kaohsiung, the TSG Hawks beat the Uni-President Lions 5-2. The victory was made even more significant by the performance of TSG Hawks' pitcher, Bradin Hagens, who extended his record-breaking win streak to 22 games.

The game started with the Lions scoring one run in the opening frame, thanks to three singles. However, Hagens and his team showed resilience, leveling the score in the bottom half of the first inning with a double and a sacrifice fly.

In the sixth frame, the Lions' batters hit a home run, giving them a 2-1 lead. But the TSG Hawks responded with two late runs to secure the victory. The team added to their tally in the seventh and eighth innings, ensuring a comfortable 5-2 win.

Hagens, at 36 years old, broke the record set by a 26-year-old Pan Wei-lun, who had a previous record of 21 straight wins from 2007 to 2008. The TSG Hawks manager, Hong I-chung, commended Hagens' performance, calling him an outstanding pitcher. His record-breaking achievement was described as incredible by Hong I-chung.

Hagens expressed gratitude towards his teammates for their defense and battling the Lions' pitchers. The game was photographed by Lee Hui-chou for the Taipei Times, capturing the intense moments of the match.

As of now, Bradin Hagens still holds the record for the most consecutive wins in CPBL. There is no information in the search results about anyone surpassing this record after him. The TSG Hawks needed late offensive support to win the game against the Uni-President Lions, but Hagens' record-breaking performance was the backbone of their victory.
