US Women's National Team (USWNT) is feeling the heat of post-pregnancy relaxation and rest, as it prepares for its June 26 friendly in Commerce City.

According to coach Emma Hayes, the 25-player roster lacks any Colorado natives due to some well-deserved time off or strategic team decisions.

It seems that Colorado veterans like Lindsey Heaps (formerly of Colorado), who have been gallivanting across Europe, have been let off the hook. Joining Heaps on the sideline are Jane Campbell (another Coloradan goalkeeper, though not a regular player in the state), who's been sidelined for the upcoming game in favor of some greenhorn goalkeepers, Mandy McGlynn, Claudia Dickey, and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.

Emma Hayes is also giving a breather to some of her European players, shifting her attention towards fresher faces and comeback stars. Catarina Macario and Emily Fox are amongst those taking a well-earned break. In a positive spin, though, the return of Rose Lavelle (midfielder) from her injury hiatus has added some spark to the roster.

While no Colorado players are missing by name in the search results, Lindsey Heaps serves as the most evident example of a Colorado-associated player sitting out the June 26 friendly. This squad shake-up is clearly a tactical move by Emma Hayes, showcasing her confidence in younger talent and returning stars.

Despite the US Women's National Team (USWNT) having a football-focused June 26 friendly in Commerce City, Colorado, no Colorado natives are part of the 25-player roster. This is because some veterans, such as Lindsey Heaps, are given time off, having been active in European sports.
