In a thrilling turn of events, 18-year-old Pia Feline Loors from TSV Neustadt has made history by breaking the long-standing 5000m record in Schleswig-Holstein.

The record, which was previously held by Cornelia Begau with a time of 18:13, set back in 1980, was shattered by Loors' impressive performance on July 26. Loors completed the 5000m event in an astonishing time of 18:08.

Coach Andreas Boller commented on Loors' performance, acknowledging the potential time she could achieve in the 5000m event.

However, it's worth noting that the 5000m event was not initially listed in the championship catalog for Loors' age group. Despite this, she competed in a mixed-gender event among juniors and delivered an outstanding performance that was significant enough to be recognised on the eternal best list of Schleswig-Holstein.

Prior to this achievement, there were no publicly available recent achievements or performance records specifically for Loors in long-distance running events like the 3000m and 5000m. Searches through Instagram links, PDFs, and other sources did not reveal any competition results or accomplishments in these events.

Before her record-breaking performance, Loors had already proven her mettle by winning the bronze medal in the 3000m event at the North German Championship for under-18 girls in Hamburg. She also participated in the German Youth Championship.

The 5000m event marked the last race before the summer break, making Loors' achievement even more noteworthy. As the athletics season resumes, all eyes will be on Loors to see if she can continue to push the boundaries in long-distance running.

Pia Feline Loors' exceptional performance in the 5000m event on July 26 has shown her talent for sports, as she broke the long-standing record set by Cornelia Begau in 1980. Despite the 5000m event not initially being listed in Loors' age group for the championship, her impressive performance was significant enough to be recognized in Schleswig-Holstein's eternal best list, indicating her potential in sports.
