A Long Road to Confidence
Her path to self-assuredness wasn't an easy one, Alina confesses in her July interview. With over a decade of competitive sports under her belt, she grappled with her body's development. "Getting feminine curves wasn't a piece of cake, and boobs were a touchy subject for me," Boehm candidly admits.
In the world of judo, and combat sports at large, weight classes present a mental challenge. "As a woman, constantly being weighed up can stir up insecurities," she affirms. But today, she can stand tall and proud of her "body's achievements."
Ready for the Big Game
She's poised to put her confidence on the line shortly. The World Judo Championships, happening in Budapest from June 13th to 20th, will see Boehm vie for title honors once more. With meticulous preparation behind her, she plans to dominate the competition and claim the gold.
Already a two-time European Champion, Boehm has secured the winner's podium in 2022 and 2023. Last year, she snatched a bronze medal.
