Nettetal, a vibrant city known for its sports culture, has announced plans for the renovation of several artificial turf pitches over the next few years. The city's family and education department head, Dominik Hoffmann, has explained that the aim is to provide early planning security to generate funds within the clubs' own structures.

The first pitch on the list is the worn-out pitch of the SC Union Nettetal, scheduled for renovation in 2027. The city's other pitches in Hinsbeck, Kaldenkirchen, Schaag, and Leuth are also slated for renovation, with Hinsbeck and Kaldenkirchen scheduled for 2029/30, and Schaag in 2028. Leuth's renovation is planned for 2031.

The city is offering funding for these renovations, with a maximum amount of 175,000 euros per facility, which represents 50% of the total renovation cost of 350,000 euros. Any additional needs or costs must be proven by the respective club together with the SSV and are subject to political approval.

The city has commissioned Polytan, a professional manufacturer of artificial turf pitches nationwide, to assess the sequence of renovations. According to the survey, all artificial turf pitches in the city area are heavily frequented.

The city expects a good solution in the interest of the clubs and the sports city of Nettetal, despite potential budgetary reservations. Funding will be provided when it is possible according to budgetary law. The clubs are expected to contribute 50% to the renovation costs.

To ensure the longest possible usage time after renovation, the clubs will be qualified for maintenance and upkeep. It is important to note that funding will only be allocated for the renovation of artificial turf pitches, not additional facilities or buildings.

For precise and up-to-date data on this topic, including detailed information about the city's financial support, renovation schedule, maximum allowed costs, and how sports clubs participate financially in such projects in Nettetal, I recommend contacting Nettetal’s city administration or the local sports clubs directly. The city is currently checking whether and to what extent funding is available for these renovations.

The sports concept is bringing dynamism to the process of utilizing funding opportunities, aiming to provide a boost to the city's sports facilities and continue fostering its vibrant sports culture.

Due to the city's comprehensive sports concept, the provincial football clubs in Nettetal, such as SC Union Nettetal, are searching for ways to improve their European-league level performance. The premier-league aspirations of these clubs may receive an unexpected boost with the upcoming renovations of the city's worn-out pitches.
