Ready for the World Games 2025!
Athletes specializing in aerobic activities will participate in the World Games 2025 competition.
Get your game faces on, folks, because the World Games are back! And this time, we're heading to the vibrant city of Chengdu, China for a spectacle of non-Olympic sports!
Team Việt Nam, with a silver from the world championships under their belts, is all set to join the party. Aerobic athletes from our Vietnamese squad have earned an automatic place in the competition and will be representing Việt Nam in the trio and team events.
This won't be the first time Việt Nam is participating in the games. Back in 2013, in Poland, our aerobic team managed to grab a gold in the mixed duo category. And with their recent gold victories in the World Cup 2023 and 2024, and eight golds from the Asian championships 2024, they're expected to pull off some impressive results once again.
Meet some of our top performers: Nguyễn Chế Thanh, Phan Thế Gia Nam, Nguyễn Lan Phương, Hoàng Gia Ba̅o, Phan Thị Uyển Nhi, Nguyễn Phương Anh, and Nguyễn Tất Việt.
But it's not just aerobics that Việt Nam will be shining in. Athletes from various disciplines such as boxing, wushu, muay Thai, billiards, jujitsu, kickboxing, finswimming, and beach handball will also be representing our country.
The World Games 2025 will feature over 30 sports, most of which are not part of the Olympic program. A few examples include aikido, air sports, American football, and frisbee (Ultimate and Disc Golf). The games will be held from August 7th to the 17th across 27 competition venues across eight zones in Chengdu.
