Tukur: Taught himself to drive - without a driver's license - At 64, Veteran Actor Ulrich Tukur Finally Gets His Driver's License
Veteran actor Ulrich Tukur, renowned for his role as LKA investigator Felix Murot in Tatort, has recently acquired his driver's license at the age of 64. The seasoned actor taught himself to drive using his wife's car while residing in Tuscany.
Tukur's newfound driving skill is a result of his desire to master necessary skills for his film roles. Despite his late start, he claims he has never been involved in a car accident. However, parallel parking remains a challenge for the actor.
Tukur has a particular fondness for classic cars, preferring models from the 1930s to the 1960s. These vehicles are recognized for their elegant, rounded bodies. Despite his admiration, Tukur does not consider himself a car enthusiast. In one memorable incident, he once struggled to park a pickup truck, eventually seeking assistance from passersby.
In his role as Felix Murot in Tatort, Tukur drives an NSU Ro 80, a classic car that fits his preference. Although he has only recently obtained his driver's license, Tukur's new skill adds a practical dimension to his already impressive acting career.
