The Indiana Fever have made a surprising return to the WNBA playoff limelight, defeating the Atlanta Dream in a thrilling Game 3 to advance to the semifinals. This marks the Fever's first playoff series win since 2015.

The game was not without its drama, as Aliyah Boston and Atlanta Dream forward Bri Jones were involved in a heated altercation. The incident occurred during a fierce battle for positioning, resulting in Boston shoving Jones to the ground. Both players were issued technical fouls by the officials.

Boston, who led the Fever with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists, seemed to take issue with the way Jones seemed to have locked her arm up during the altercation. Jones, who had four personal fouls before the incident, was hit with an additional foul as a result.

Despite the distraction, the Fever managed to stay focused and closed the game on a 7-0 run to secure the victory. Kelsey Mitchell led the scoring for Indiana with 24 points, while Natasha Howard added 12.

Atlanta's Allisha Gray put up a valiant effort with 19 points and 12 rebounds, marking her first playoff double-double. Jordin Canada also had a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists. Rhyne Howard scored 16 points for the Dream.

The Indiana Fever will now face a tough challenge in the semifinals, as they look to continue their Cinderella run in the WNBA playoffs. Without injured player Caitlin Clark, the team will need to rely on their depth and resilience to compete against the league's best.
