Astana launches bold campaign to slash traffic accidents and protect pedestrians

In a joint effort, the Astana City Prosecutor's Office and the Police Department have conducted a sweeping preventive campaign to educate the public on Kazakhstan's traffic safety laws.

The initiative's primary goal is to enhance legal awareness among residents, foster responsible behavior among road users, and prevent traffic accidents involving minors and pedestrians.

As part of the campaign, outreach activities were held near secondary schools, universities, shopping centers, markets, and other high-traffic public spaces. Special emphasis was placed on areas with heavy foot traffic and accident-prone zones.

The campaign aims to instill safe road habits, reduce traffic violations, and strengthen public safety across the capital.
