The U19 Asian Boxing Championships 2025, held in Bangkok, Thailand, has seen a strong showing from the Indian boxing contingent. In the men's 60kg category, Harsh secured a victory over Jiabao Yuan from China. Meanwhile, Sagar triumphed in the men's 55kg category. Shivam, competing in the same weight category, also made a notable victory with a unanimous decision against Turkmenistan’s Bezirgen Annayev, advancing to the next rounds. Mausam Suhag, in the men's 65kg category, secured a close 3:2 win over Kazakhstan’s Nurkabyluly Mukhit.

However, not all outcomes were favourable for the Indian team. Tashi Yoezer from Bhutan lost his match against Sagar, Preet Malik lost to Ilya Kalinin from Kazakhstan, Devika Ghorpade lost against Thi Ngoc Tran Nyugen from Vietnam, and Kartik Dalal lost to Brandon Soriano from the Philippines in the men's 70kg bout.

Three other Indian boxers could not get the desired result despite a strong fight against tough opponents. Despite these setbacks, the Indian boxing contingent had a mixed day overall.

Suman Kumari, representing India in the women's division, made a strong start by winning her opening bout. The U19 Asian Boxing Championships 2025 is an event where India has fielded a strong contingent of 40 boxers, showcasing a mix of experienced boxers and promising talents.
