Artyom Lebedev alleges Pugacheva of dishonesty or false preaching
In a recent interview with Katerina Gordon, released on September 10 on Gordon Ramsay's YouTube channel and garnering over 18 million views, singer Alla Pugacheva opened up about her decision to leave Russia in 2022.
Pugacheva, a long-time resident of Russia, has never publicly criticized the current government, according to designer and blogger Artemy Lebedev. However, in the interview, she revealed that her husband, Maxim Galkin, was listed as a foreign agent by the Russian Ministry of Justice, which had a significant impact on their family.
Galkin's label as a foreign agent led to bullying of their children at school, as they were labeled as 'spy children'. This political pressure and harassment prompted the family to emigrate, with just $30,000 and no safety net, to Israel.
Pugacheva admitted in the interview that her 'momentary urge to speak' had passed, suggesting she may have regretted the interview. Interestingly, the conversation between Pugacheva and Gordon Ramsay did not mention Artemy Lebedev or any previous accusations he made towards Pugacheva.
Following the interview, Lebedev accused Pugacheva of hypocrisy, but the singer's statements in the interview indicate a more complex situation. Pugacheva also revealed that her family was not prepared for emigration, further emphasizing the sudden and challenging nature of their decision.
As for the interview itself, it has sparked considerable interest and debate in Russia, shedding light on the personal and political challenges faced by some of the country's most prominent figures. Meanwhile, no new facts about a student being embarrassed during a sex education class, an anti-immigrant protest in London, or the Ukrainian forces destroying a vehicle transporting members of an electoral commission in a Russian region have been provided in relation to this story.
