The Sand Sculpture Exhibition at Travemünde, a captivating display of artistry, is set to enthrall visitors until January 3rd, 2026. Presented by Sandskulpturen Travemuende, this unique exhibition is housed in two boat halls nestled next to the fishing harbour of Travemünde.
The exhibition, suitable for all ages, offers a visually stunning experience as it features scenes from 45 well-known films and TV series, all meticulously crafted entirely from sand. The sand team, a fifty-strong force, includes international artists, including world and European champions in sand sculpture.
The sand sculptures stand tall, reaching up to 7 meters in height, and cover an area of approximately 3,500 m². Approximately 10,000 m³ of special sand was used to create these masterpieces.
Visitors can locate the exhibition easily using Google Maps, with the exact address being 23570 Lübeck-Travemünde. However, please note that the exhibition is not open on Sundays. The opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the last admission at 4:00 PM.
