Artwork exposition by Tim Berresheim is imminent within a quarter-hour.
Tim Berresheim's latest exhibition, "Ort. Zeit. Kontinuum." (Place. Time. Continuum.), is currently on display at the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum in Aachen, Germany. This 360° wall work, created exclusively for the museum, offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore Aachen's history through a digital, computer-assisted artistic approach.
The exhibition, which runs until February 1st, 2026, is part of a larger digital art and participation project commissioned by the city of Aachen, titled "Aus alter Wurzel neue Kraft." This project involves local schoolchildren in its creation process, emphasizing community participation and cultural engagement.
In "Ort. Zeit. Kontinuum.", Berresheim combines traditional artistic concerns with cutting-edge digital techniques to create an immersive experience. Viewers are surrounded by a panorama that captures the city's rich cultural and historical layers, including the cathedral, the town hall, the theater's neoclassical facade, and the sculpture "Die Sitzende" from Burtscheid.
The work is designed to be viewed through 3D glasses, enhancing the visual experience and creating a sense of depth and movement. It contains references to art history and personal experiences, offering insights into the artist's ideas and technical and artistic approach.
Berresheim will be a guest on Kunstpause on Tuesday, 8th July, from 13:00-13:15, where he will discuss his work and the ideas behind "Ort. Zeit. Kontinuum." The public can visit the exhibition at the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum, Wilhelmstraße 18, Aachen.
