Lauren Quin Joins Pace Gallery, Marking a New Phase in Her Career

Artist Lauren Quin has joined Pace Gallery, a significant move that is increasing her visibility in the art world. This news comes after a successful solo show at 125 Newbury, a Pace-affiliated space in Tribeca, which marked a turning point in Quin's career.

In 2024, Pace founder Arne Glimcher gave Quin a solo show at 125 Newbury. The visual language of this show, as Quin described, was a "fugue state," intended to disrupt clarity and resist easy interpretation. The show showcased Quin's evolving vocabulary, including carved paint fissures, buried monoprints, and symbol-rich abstractions.

Since this pivotal moment, Quin's work has entered a different phase, with a different handling of paint and a different kind of reach. Quin's career has been on a rapid ascent, with her first show with Blum & Poe in 2022, followed by her representation by Pace Gallery in August 2025.

Quin's first solo exhibition with Pace is scheduled for February 2026 in Los Angeles, and her work will also be featured at Frieze Seoul in September 2025. Lauren Quin will also have work in Pace's booth at Frieze Seoul next month.

Quin's artworks are known for their vibrant, complex abstractions, featuring layered colors, symbols, and textures that explore real and pictorial space. Major institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. own Quin's paintings.

Regarding her auction history post-Pace Gallery representation, there is no publicly available detailed record of auction results after her joining Pace in August 2025. Her artworks have a presence on platforms like Artsy, which list past shows and some auction results, but data about auctions since August 2025 is not specifically documented in recent sources. However, the auction record for a Quin painting was achieved in 2022, currently standing at $587,452.

Quin, who received her MFA from the Yale School of Art in 2019, is excited to showcase her current work, particularly in Los Angeles, her home turf. With her move to Pace Gallery, Quin's career trajectory is currently marked by increased visibility through major solo shows and international fairs. While the auction history after joining Pace is not yet distinctly established or publicly documented, the future looks promising for this rising star in the art world.
