Green Bay Cartoonist's Syndicate Soars Nationwide

Joe Heller, a renowned editorial cartoonist, has achieved remarkable success since starting his own syndicate, Heller Syndication, following his layoff from the Green Bay Press-Gazette in July 2013.

Heller's career in cartooning began in 1985 when he joined the Green Bay Press-Gazette. For nearly three decades, his witty and insightful cartoons graced the pages of the newspaper. However, a corporate restructuring led to his departure in 2013.

Undeterred, Heller took the opportunity to branch out on his own. Today, through Heller Syndication, his cartoons are distributed to over 400 newspapers nationwide, making him the most successful self-syndicated editorial cartoonist in the nation.

Heller's cartoons regularly appear in prestigious publications such as USA Today, The Denver Post, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek Japan, The Week, and The Washington Post. The NKyTribune also features him as a regular cartoonist.

Heller's talent has been recognised with numerous awards. He has won 10 Best of Gannett awards, eight Milwaukee Press Club awards, and two Honorable mentions for the John Fischetti Award.

Despite his national reach, the specific newspapers that regularly publish Heller's cartoons through his own syndication remain undisclosed. Regardless, his work continues to resonate with readers across the country.

Joe Heller and his wife, Pamela, reside in Green Bay, Wis. Despite his busy schedule, Heller's commitment to his craft remains unwavering, continually producing cartoons that provoke thought and spark conversation.

Heller's journey from a local cartoonist to a nationwide sensation serves as an inspiring testament to the power of perseverance and the enduring appeal of quality cartooning.
