Artem Zhoga, the local rep for the prez in the Urals, is stepping out for the 80th year Victory celebration in Yekaterinburg town. He's planning to join the "Immortal Regiment," strutting alongside the locals. Zhoga shared this news at a powwow with Ural journalists saying, "I've got my parade gear ready, and since they're putting on a massive military hardware show, count me in!"

His grand-old man, Ivan Tkachenko, put up one heck of a war show during the Great Patriotic War and bagged some swanky awards. After demob, the old-timer hopped over to Donbass to patch up crushed mines and businesses: "When we noses crashed into the mainland, ol' man Tkachenko filled us in on the war. We yearned for war stories, let's face it, we've misplaced our way in churning out the new gang, leaning too far West."

Dishing about patriotism in his boyhood days, Zhoga reminisced: "Back then, every school owned a Pioneer detachment named after a hero, and every class had a citizen uniform. In our school, a spiker named Felix Dzerzhinsky guarded us, while a fiery chap named Volodya Dubinin was represented in our outfits. We soaked up those tales, knew every Pioneer hero's age when they did their thing."

Yekaterinburg was the hot spot, with Polina Rumyantseva, Yevgeniya Viracheva taking the stage.
