Artem Chigvintsev openly discusses recent public appearance with his son
Artem Chigvintsev and his ex-wife Nikki Garcia, formerly known as Nikki Bella, are currently co-parenting their 4-year-old son, Matteo, following their recent divorce. On May 25, Chigvintsev shared a heartwarming video of them enjoying a day out at a balloon exhibit, with one clip capturing Matteo's delight while playing with numerous balloons and another showing them relaxing in a ball pit. The Russian dancer captioned the post affectionately, noting that balloons are Matteo's favorite.
During a May 22 episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Garcia addressed her divorce settlement with Chigvintsev, revealing that their separation was distinct from a past incident in 2024. She also disclosed that she paid her ex $200,000 as spousal support and alimony, despite her reservations about using her hard-earned money for this purpose. However, she explained that this payment was made to ensure that Matteo could enjoy an equal life in both homes.
As per the divorce settlement, Nikki will provide Artem with $3,500 monthly child support. Additionally, she will cover Matteo's health insurance, speech therapy, and preschool education for the 2024-2025 academic year, while the two will split the costs of Matteo's extracurricular activities. Nikki will maintain custody of their Napa home and all trusts in her name, including her businesses.
Despite the challenges of their separation, both parents are committed to prioritizing Matteo's best interests. According to sources, they have agreed to joint custody, with plans to share major holidays and jointly decide on Matteo's school for the upcoming academic year.
In an effort to maintain a harmonious co-parenting relationship for the sake of their son, Nikki expressed hope for future amicability between the two parties.
