The account, known for its acerbic commentary on the art market, has amassed a significant following of 151,000 since its inception in 2018.
Helphenstein initially ran the account anonymously, but revealed her identity in 2020. Prior to managing Jerry Gogosian, she had run her own gallery in Los Angeles.
The account has been a platform for Helphenstein to opine on various matters related to the art market, including auction records, artist representation, and her experiences at art fairs. She has also been vocal about her opinions on prominent figures in the industry, including mocking dealer Larry Gagosian.
However, the reason behind Helphenstein's decision to shut down the account remains unclear.
