Art Festival in Banani Concludes with 'Dear Mother' Screening

An art festival concluded in Banani, Dhaka, with a special screening of 'Dear Mother'. The three-day event featured film screenings, exhibitions, workshops, and a musical event titled 'Rit'.

The festival opened with a bang, unveiling a poetry book by Mahbub Shahriar and premiering a film titled 'Rit'. The book launch and film premiere took place on October 30. 'Dear Mother', directed by Sk Shuvo Shadique, explores themes of post-colonialism, national minority struggles, and familial bonds. 'Rit', directed by Nabil Rahman, captures the six seasons and depicts six different stories with Mahbub Shahriar's poem and narration. The film is a collective work of Nabil Rahman, Mahbub Shahriar, Akram Hossain, and Rafi Nur.

The festival included captivating performances by Farah Naz Moon, Tapash Paul, Syed Isratul Masfic Soad, Nisha Alam Rahman, and Mazharul Haque Tonmoy.

The festival ended with a special screening of 'Dear Mother', leaving attendees with a profound appreciation for Bengali poetry and the power of storytelling. The event celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh, bringing together artists and enthusiasts alike.
