Lester Quinones, a four-year NBA veteran and the undrafted talent from the University of Memphis, has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Orlando Magic. This deal provides Quinones with an opportunity to showcase his skills and compete for a roster spot or a two-way contract during the upcoming season.

Quinones began last season on a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, but he was waived in December 2023. He later signed a two-way deal with the New Orleans Pelicans in March, finishing the 2023 season with the team.

The Exhibit 10 contract Quinones has signed with the Magic is a one-year, minimum salary deal that is non-guaranteed. Quinones had his best NBA season in 2023-24 with the Golden State Warriors, where he averaged 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 10.6 minutes per game. In 13 games split between the Sixers and Pels last season, he averaged 6.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 14.1 minutes per contest.

Quinones' impressive G League numbers further bolster his case for a spot with the Magic. In 41 total G League games, he averaged 21.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per contest.

The Magic have several guards, but they still see value in competitive depth. By signing Quinones, they add depth to their guard position during a season when they seek to improve offensive efficiency. This deal represents a low-risk opportunity for both player and team to explore long-term potential.

Michael Scotto reports that Quinones will have an opportunity to compete for a roster spot or a two-way contract in Orlando. The Magic waived two-way guard Ethan Thompson last month, potentially opening up a spot for Quinones to claim.
