In the early hours of a Saturday, a hooded man set fire to a high-end Ford Raptor truck belonging to former Boca player Marcos Rojo in the city of General Roca, Río Negro. The vehicle, valued at approximately $100,000, was completely destroyed.

The incident, which caused significant concern among local residents, took place just meters from San Martín. Witnesses reported that the perpetrator walked up to the vehicle, poured gasoline on it, and set it ablaze, causing an explosion. The attacker then fled running towards the northern part of the city.

The Ford Raptor was registered in Marcos Rojo's name, but it was in the process of being transferred to a new owner at the time of the incident. The transfer had not been formalized, so the vehicle still appeared as Rojo's property.

So far, authorities have not revealed the motive behind the arson attack, and the case remains under investigation. The police have been investigating the incident using footage from nearby security cameras, which captured the act, but the perpetrator has not been identified or apprehended.

A similar incident occurred a month ago in Villa del Parque, Buenos Aires, where an arsonist attacked two vehicles at the intersection of Cuenca and Genova streets. The Villa del Parque incident involved two vehicles being consumed by flames, and the attack was recorded by the security cameras of a nearby building. No further information about the arsonist or motives in the Villa del Parque incident has been reported.

The current owner of the truck, which was attacked on Maipú Street, is a resident of Roca. Firefighters and emergency services intervened to extinguish the flames, but the truck was completely destroyed, with only its chassis remaining. The attacked vehicles in Villa del Parque were a gray Volkswagen T-Cross (license plate JIC705) and a white Fiat Doblo (license plate PBI312).

At the moment, police authorities have not been able to identify the arsonist or the possible motives behind the attacks in either Roca or Villa del Parque. The investigations continue.
