Arsenal's New Signing, Cristhian Mosquera, Set to Join Team Amidst Paperwork Delay
Arsenal Football Club has signed centre-back Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia, with the player having been in London for a week. However, the official announcement of his arrival has been delayed due to paperwork issues.
The delay in Mosquera's official announcement does not affect his presence in London. The 25-year-old defender has been training with his new teammates, preparing for the upcoming season under the guidance of coach Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal's pre-season is currently underway in Singapore, with matches against AC Milan, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and two more unnamed teams in London. Mosquera, despite not traveling to Singapore with the team, is expected to join his teammates once the paperwork issues are resolved.
Mosquera has signed a five-year contract with Arsenal until June 2030, with an option for an additional year. The transfer fee is approximately £13 million (€15 million), potentially rising to €20 million with add-ons.
