The arrests followed a report received on August 1, 2025, and the police acted promptly upon it. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities emphasized that there is currently no concrete or immediate threat to the school or individuals involved.

Merete Dissing, the director of Kolding Municipality, has stated that they are taking the situation "very seriously." She assured everyone that they are doing all they can to help the leadership at Alminde-Viuf Fællesskole (the public school the suspected children attend) create a sense of security.

Senior inspector Torben Simonsen of South East Jutland Police made a statement, emphasizing that there is currently no ongoing or concrete threat against the Sct.
