Over the past few months, this unscrupulous crew has been active in Chandigarh and Mohali, robbing innocent people at gunpoint. But their reign of terror didn't end there - they were also behind an array of thefts across the area.

The search was on for one of the gang's members, absconding 19-year-old Gurkirat Singh, who hails from Chajju Majra village in Mohali. With his arrest on April 24, not only did the police net their prime suspect, they also recovered three motorcycles, a scooter, and three sets of alloy wheels that had been stolen by the gang. These items were amongst the stolen loot from multiple robberies.

The case against the accused and his accomplices was initially registered on March 18, 2025, under the CIA jurisdiction at the Kharar police station. After thorough investigation, six gang members were previously arrested, which led to the recovery of illegal weapons, vehicles, and car accessories. However, Gurkirat managed to evade capture until April.

Investigations were supervised by SP (Investigation) Saurabh Jindal and DSP (Investigation) Talwinder Singh. Among the stolen vehicles recovered from Gurkirat are a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle, a Yamaha R15, Hero Splendor, and TVS Jupiter. Some alloy wheels and tyres were also taken from Mataur and an area under the Phase-1 police station.
