Arrest at Main Station: Wanted Individual, Under House Arrest, Appears In-Person and is Apprehended

In a series of events, the Federal Police Inspectorate Weil am Rhein made two significant arrests last week. On one hand, a 53-year-old German national was taken into custody on Monday, 15th September 2025, while a 24-year-old Moroccan man was arrested shortly after.

The German national was detained due to an existing arrest warrant, following an investigation for suspected trespassing. The individual was banned from entering the Freiburg im Breisgau main station, leading to the initiation of the investigation. The details of the case are currently under review.

Meanwhile, the Moroccan man was apprehended due to an unpaid fine for resisting enforcement officers. Despite being sentenced to a fine of 2,000 euros, the man failed to pay, resulting in an arrest warrant. The suspect, with a criminal history involving theft and aggravated theft, had three outstanding arrest warrants and nine residence investigations against him. He was last spotted entering Germany illegally via a cross-border tram at the Weil am Rhein - Friedlingen border crossing.

Following their arrests, both individuals were taken to a detention facility. The 53-year-old German national remains under investigation, while the 24-year-old Moroccan man is under suspicion for suspected trespassing.
