A close to five-week-long investigation led to the arrest of a 19-year-old German suspect on Monday, in relation to the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old resident of Neubrandenburg. The authorities had been keeping a close eye on the young individual for some time. After conducting extensive investigations, the prosecutor's office and Neubrandenburg police headquarters managed to gather sufficient evidence against him.

The arrest warrant was submitted by the prosecutor's office and approved by the Neubrandenburg district court before the apprehension.
