The lively leisure fair, Touristik & Caravaning (TC) Leipzig, is still expanding at a rapid pace. Over 450 exhibitors from the camping and tourism industry have flocked to this year's fair, marking a significant increase from the previous year's 360 exhibitors. This information was shared by Alexander Ege, Director of Trade Fairs and Events at Messe Stuttgart, during a recent press conference. The Swabians have been responsible for organizing the Leipziger TC since 2018. The much-anticipated fair will run from Wednesday to Sunday.
Ege noted that every area at TC Leipzig has grown, whether in caravanning, tourism, or leisure activities like cycling and outdoor adventures. The pleasure, bicycle, and outdoor areas have even expanded in size. The largest public fair for vacations and leisure in Central Germany has been a staple since 1990.
According to Ege, the caravanning sector is experiencing high demand. "The 2023 travel year is wrapping up above average," he claimed. Mini-mobiles with pop-up roofs are particularly popular, while the subject of van conversions and personalizing one's vehicle is also a significant trend in the industry. Ege observed that both long-distance travel and short trips are garnering interest from travelers.
Leisure enthusiasts have a plethora of travel options to explore at the expanded Touristik & Caravaning fair. The surge in exhibitors, including those from tourism and camping, presents ample opportunities to plan future leisure adventures and a chance to attend various fairs and events.
[1] Supplemental information suggests that Europe's tourism and caravanning sectors have robust interest from both professionals and consumers. Several notable events, such as the planned Touristik & Caravaning Leipzig 2025, MATKA 2025 in Helsinki, Fitur in Madrid, and the CMT International Exhibition for Caravanning, Motoring, and Tourism in Stuttgart, contribute to this trend[1][2][4]. However, this additional data does not provide direct evidence of the Touristik & Caravaning Leipzig fair's impact on these sectors.
