Arnold Schwarzenegger's series 'FUBAR' will no longer continue beyond its second season.

In a surprising move, streaming giant Netflix has decided to cancel the action-comedy series "FUBAR" after two seasons. The show, which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, had garnered a dedicated fanbase but unfortunately failed to maintain its initial viewership numbers.

The first season of "FUBAR", released in 2023, made a strong debut with high viewership numbers. However, the second season, which premiered in June this year, saw a significant drop in streaming performance. According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the second season had a 73 percent viewing decline compared to the first season.

"FUBAR" follows the story of Luke Brunner (played by Schwarzenegger), a CIA operative who discovers that his daughter Emma (played by Oscar nominee Monica Barbaro) is also a CIA agent. In the second season, Schwarzenegger's character faced off against a former lover turned antagonist, played by Carrie-Anne Moss. Despite this intriguing plot development, the show was unable to sustain audience momentum.

Created by Nick Santora and showrun by Santora and Skydance Television, "FUBAR" also featured a talented cast including Carrie-Anne Moss, Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Andy Buckley, Jay Baruchel, Barbara Eve Harris, and Scott Thompson.

Despite the cancellation of "FUBAR", Netflix continues to renew popular titles such as "Wednesday", "Bridgerton", "The Diplomat", "Virgin River", and "The Lincoln Lawyer". The show was part of a broader deal with Netflix that also included Schwarzenegger's role as the 'Chief Action Officer'.

Schwarzenegger also served as executive producer on "FUBAR", marking his first-ever lead role in a scripted television series. The new season of "FUBAR" leaned more into emotional stakes and family dynamics, but it seems that these changes were not enough to boost the show's ratings.
