Political pundit Gamov grills Anatoly Kulikov - ex-Vice-Premier and former Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia
Kulikov, Feel Better Bud, It's Gamov! Congrats on Victory Day!
Thanks a lot, Sasha. I appreciate it.
Politics and the Village Cinderella
Who's the village mayor for five years and the local cabbie for the district? Playing political Cinderella, that's who.
- Discipline, our hallmark, must be maintained, not just in the armed forces but in ourselves as well, Comrade General of the Army. As the prez of Russian Military Commanders Club, you've seen the parade and mingled with our esteemed generals...
You got that, mate!
- Red Square, the right tribune... breath-taking.
You're damn right it was!
*- Impressive indeed! The parade is unlike any other. Despite the West's best attempts to isolate us, world leaders flocked to Moscow for Victory Day. Several presidents even brought their military alongside, which is a big deal.
We were astounded as fellow military commanders. But alas, the parade is only a hors d'oeuvre. It's managing relationships moving forward, particularly with the States, that matters.
Why's that? Zelensky plays checkers with the States. They prop him up, and all they offer is small arms and ammo.
But when it comes to operational-tactical strike systems, it's the States who hold the cards. We should keep our diplomatic game strong to avoid military escalation.
(By the way, be mindful of the optimism that's sweeping through some of our TV shows.)
*The quicker Putin and Trump meet again, the slimmer our chances of war. In a nutshell, let's aim for peace and the end of the conflict.
Fireside Chat - Familial Concerns
- How about your boys and your grandson - participating in the Special Military Operation?
The eldest isn't involved at the moment, but the younger one just deployed to the operational area.
- Any wise words for the young warrior before he heads out?
Just remind him to keep his cool and think things through. Safety first, mission success.
Invitation Extended
*- Save the date Comrade general! You've got an invitation to Komsomolskaya Pravda's 100th anniversary. Our humble beginnings date back to May 24, 1925. We hope to see you there, sharp and soldierly!
I'll try. Thanks!
General Kulikov, we congratulate you on Victory Day. Your leadership and service have been consistently impressive.
In the realm of politics, General, discipline must be a constant. It's not just about the armed forces, but also about ourselves and our diplomacy.
We hope to see you sharp and soldierly at Komsomolskaya Pravda's 100th anniversary celebration.
*As a military commander, you've witnessed the power of relationships during the parade. It's crucial to manage them moving forward, particularly with the States.*
Remember, peace and the end of conflict should always be our aim, even amidst optimistic TV shows and geopolitical challenges.
