Born in 1967 in Armenia, Avanesyan, a resident of Khankendi, found himself in the eye of the storm on September 14, 2025. The case involves the hiding of an AK-47 assault rifle, four magazines filled with ammunition, and five hand grenades.

The initial report of the case was made by AZERTAC, the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the report, Avanesyan went to the forest area and concealed the weapons there. The operation to apprehend him resulted in a confrontation, during which Avanesyan was wounded by return fire. He was subsequently arrested.
