Armed Robbery Suspect Sought by Sheriff in Little Creek Casino, Washington
Breaking News: Suspect Arrested in Armed Robbery at Little Creek Casino
In a significant development, authorities have apprehended the suspect involved in an armed robbery attempt at Little Creek Casino in Kamilche, Washington on August 9, 2025. The suspect, identified as Edgar Gonzalez-Barragan, a 32-year-old man from SeaTac, was arrested in Kent on August 12, following a multi-agency investigation.
The incident occurred around 11:24 a.m. on August 9, when the suspect entered the casino's supervisor station, brandishing a handgun, and demanded money. Upon learning there was no money in the till, he fled on foot, running towards Highway 101.
The suspect was described as a possibly Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a small build. He was wearing a gray or dark flannel button-up shirt, dark gray pants, dark "Romeo" style boots, a light gray hat with a white Nike logo, sunglasses, and a clear plastic glove on his right hand.
Initially, patrol and K-9 units conducted searches in the area but were unable to locate the suspect. However, through collaborative efforts involving the Mason County Sheriff's Office, Lewis County Narcotics Task Force, Thurston County Narcotics Task Force, HSI, FBI, Kent Police Department, Squaxin Island Police, and others, Gonzalez-Barragan was apprehended safely and positively identified through surveillance photos.
Little Creek Casino, operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe, is located in Kamilche, Washington. The casino was not harmed during the incident, and no injuries were reported. The investigation into this matter is currently ongoing.
The Mason County Sheriff's Office is encouraging the community to come forward with any information that may aid in the investigation. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the sheriff's office.
