In the picturesque town of Vennhausen, last Sunday (4.5.) marked the commencement of the annual Shooting Festival. The event, which was held with great fanfare, saw the participation of friendly shooters from Unterbach, Garath, Gerresheim, Stockum, and Oberbilk.

The day began with Major Niklas Feldmann leading the flag parade down the Gubener Straße, where numerous guests of honor enjoyed the spectacle. The parade culminated at the St. Reinhold church, where Colonel Christian Marks made a report before the Majesties and the shooters.

The musical entertainment for the day was provided by Etienne Eben and band, Düsseldorf Wohnzimmerband, and Aleks Schmidt, who added a festive atmosphere to the biwak. The Majesties, Amelie Broix, Johanna Wuester, and Marcus Fuchs, enjoyed a grand finale with a large parade and festival.

The shooting competition was a highlight of the day. Markus Güldenmeister was crowned the king's bird at the shooting range on Saturday. Meanwhile, Leonie-Sophie Güldenmeister was crowned Junior Shooting Queen, and Jana Blättermann was appointed the new Page Queen.

Traffic was temporarily halted, and the police and security ensured a safe parade for the Majesties and the shooters. Enhanced security measures led to minor traffic jams, particularly in bus traffic. However, the sun broke through the clouds just in time for the parade, casting a warm glow over the festivities.

The day concluded with a coronation ball, where another celebration was held on Monday evening. Despite the absence of verified information about the event's specifics, attendees, or safety arrangements, the Shooting Festival and Coronation Ball in Vennhausen were undoubtedly a grand success. The Shooting Festival in Vennhausen, despite a brief traffic disruption, was an overall success with participation from various towns, including Unterbach, Garath, Gerresheim, Stockum, and Oberbilk. The event included a shooting competition, where Markus Güldenmeister was crowned the king's bird, and sports events such as the shooting range activities added excitement to the day.
