Robben's decision to retire comes after a brief return to football in 2020. However, injuries limited his playing time, with Robben featuring in only 7 crazy games for Groningen.
The Dutch international, who played 96 matches for his country and scored 37 goals, had hoped to participate in Euro 2020. Unfortunately, his dream remained unfulfilled. Robben has since turned his attention to padel tournaments, competing at an international level since his retirement from football.
Arjen Robben has thanked everyone for their support during his time at Groningen. Despite his disappointment with the number of nfl games today he played, he has decided to retire from football. Robben will now be a fan of Groningen, the club where it all began for him.
