New Year's Eve Special Returns with Anke Engelke and Matthias Brandt on ARD

Get ready for another hilarious New Year's Eve special as Anke Engelke and Matthias Brandt return to ARD for "Der zweite Kurzschluss." After their mishap in a bank's self-service area last year, this time they find themselves stuck in a disagreement with other partygoers at a gym New Year's Eve party and take refuge in the hall attendant's room.

Engelke and Brandt's chemistry and relatable characters have made "Kurzschluss" a beloved tradition in German television, with their "sometimes surprising, sometimes silly, sometimes contemplative, and always pleasantly emotional" encounters. The special will air on December 30 at 11:30 PM on ARD's first channel, with parts 1 and 2 also showing on December 31 at 6 PM.

Produced by WDR, the sequel to the successful "Kurzschluss" promises unforgettable moments and conversations. Keep an eye on your TV screens and enjoy this entertaining special with your family and friends this holiday season.
