ARC Raiders' Flashpoint 1.22.0 Update Wins Players Back with Tougher Challenges

The latest Flashpoint update (1.22.0) for ARC Raiders has brought a wave of positive feedback from players. Released in March 2026, the patch introduces new challenges, enemies, and a revamped crafting system—changes that have even drawn back lapsed players to the game. One of the biggest additions in the update is the Close Scrutiny event. Players must raid ARC Assessors while battling waves of hostile ARCs, including the newly introduced Vaporizer enemy. Many have praised this mode for offering the kind of challenge they felt was missing from earlier updates.

The patch also includes two new weapons and a complete overhaul of the crafting system. Players have called the changes a major improvement, making progression smoother and more rewarding. Unlike the previous two updates, which received mixed reactions, this one has been widely described as *actually fun*. However, the increased difficulty has led to more player wipes, particularly due to the new enemy types and tougher conditions. Despite this, engagement remains high, with March 2026 stats showing over 3.2 million concurrent players across platforms and 482,000 on Steam alone. Weekly active players have stayed close to 6 million since the game's October 2025 launch.

The 1.22.0 update has revitalised ARC Raiders, bringing back players who had stepped away from the game. With stronger challenges, refined mechanics, and fresh content, the community response suggests the changes have struck the right balance. No specific data compares player activity before and after the patch, but current numbers remain strong.
