Arbon's New Pump Track to Boost Community Fun Before Summer
Arbon will soon start building a new pump track for bikes, scooters and skateboards. The facility is designed to encourage active leisure time and bring people together. Work is set to begin at the end of February.
The track will cater to children, young people and adults, offering a space for movement, skill-building and shared fun. It forms part of Arbon's wider push to make public areas more engaging for residents. Officials hope the project will become an inclusive meeting point for the community.
If construction stays on schedule, the pump track should open before the summer holidays. This would allow visitors to use it during the warmer months. However, nearby residents may experience some disruption while the work is underway.
No other Swiss city of similar size has completed a comparable pump track for the same age groups. The closest planned project—a private initiative in Sigriswil—won't open until 2026, provided its 230,000 CHF funding target is met.
The pump track will provide a new outdoor activity hub for Arbon. Its completion before summer would give locals a fresh space for exercise and socialising. The project also sets a precedent as the first of its kind in a Swiss town of this scale.
